Good guided tour conducted by Cece, SHE was very knowledgeable about the history of the theatre. Lots of cool things displayed throughout the self guided and guided portions. The free picture was a nice token as you would have to pay for that most places.

Cool experience, but I didn't know if it's worth the self guided tour ticket price. This is THE historic building in Nashville if you're into county music, and they know that when they hit you with the price of tickets for the self guided tour. And while it's cool to actually be there, there is much better information in your average YouTube video about the building. The video they show you is well done and has some great info, but it's about 10 minutes long and really skips over a great deal. You didn't have access to much with the regular tour. I felt like I paid a lot for the privilege of walking up some stairs and looking at the stage from the balcony level. We weren't even allowed on the stage because of an event that was going to happen that evening. Overall, meh.

Really glad I stopped for the guided tour of the auditorium. There is so much history in one place it’s amazing. If you like country music then this is the place to start. It’s really cool to see the videos and the outfits that were created by and worn by many stars of the past. The dressing rooms are particularly interesting with so many pictures of the stars who have entertained there. It’s fun to have your pictures taken on stage and the gift store has many different kinds of gifts that are all related to the Ryman.
